Enjoy the holiday season with the Concert for Kids 2018, this year with three options for your enjoyment.
The annual Concert for Kids to benefit the WBAL Radio Kids Campaign is a holiday concert series which supports our community by raising funds and awareness for the WBAL Radio Kids Campaign. Since it premiered in 2007 as an opportunity for the twenty-plus student orchestra to give back to the community, the Concert for Kids has raised over $80,000 for the WBAL Radio Kids Campaign. No longer a "little event", the Pops Concert for Kids concert series has grown from one small concert into a two concert extravaganzas featuring professional singers, choirs, dancers, and students from many Howard County high schools as well as .
The Classical Concert for Kids is a new addition to our series. Featuring music by Eric Whitacre, John Rutter, Vaughan Williams and Leroy Anderson, this program is chock full of the traditional music we all enjoy at this time of year. This year's Classical Concert will be held at the Owen Brown Interfaith Center off Cradlerock Way in Columbia.
Finally, we will also continue the "Pay-It-Forward" program for each of the concerts. By purchasing a "Pay-It-Forward" ticket you are giving us the opportunity to help a family in need enjoy the concert. "Pay-It-Forward" tickets are available for both the Family Matinee and Evening performances.
